REGISTER AT THE DOOR!!Online registration is now closed...but you can register at the door! We will have sections for drum set, conga, djembe, drumline & samba, and each section will have a professional facilitator. Have a different drum? We'll find a spot for you or just bring along a shaker and join the fun!We do ask that all DRUM SET PLAYERS play a basic rock beat (sheet music will be provided) at the event, and that ALL DRUMMERS be able to follow our local conductor as we join up via video-link to the other 14 BIG BEATs in other cities. Your section facilitator will help to bring you into the groove. Please bring the cans of food to Oregon Big Beat on November 6....we'll be donating them to the Oregon Food Bank, so we can really stick it to hunger. Your suggested donation is a minimum...remember this is for our kids, and all proceeds will go to a Portland-area school(s) to buy instruments. Suggested Donations: Participants: $10.00 each, PLUS 2 cans of food Families: $20.00 per family, PLUS 2 cans of food Spectators: $5.00 per person, PLUS 2 cans of food SEE YOU AT OREGON BIG BEAT!!! Load in is from 10:30AM to 2:00PM. Warm-up begins at 2:15 PM with Brian Davis. Official down beat for Big Beat is 2:45 PM. Performances begin at 11:00AM and go until about 3:30 or later...PRIZES, RAFFLES, AUCTION ITEMS, AMAZING DEALS....this is THE event for drummers in Portland!! |
