Still decompressing from the Zildjian factory tour! Had the opportunity to peek behind the curtain and see how the cymbals are made and help celebrate the oldest family owned business in the United States. 400 years!
Went to the Zildjian 400th celebration and it was AMAZING! Sheila E., Dennis Chambers, Omar Hakim, Terri Lynne Carrington, Eddie Bayers, Peter Erskine, Steve Smith and Ringo Starr were all inducted into the Zildjian Hall of Fame and a star studded line up paid homage to them. Among them Adam Deitch, Aaron Spears, Nate Smith, Toni Kaspi, Antonio Sanchez, Ash Soan, Devon Taylor. Too many to mention.
They were all phenomenal and the entire event was hosted by Fred Armisen.
Thanks again to Zildjian for having us out and for their extreme hospitality. It was an incredible experience!
