Caton's Classes sceduled to resume Saturday August 24th 2024
Good news. Caton is back on schedule starting this Saturday (8/24/24).
 Djembe Explore! (Saturdays, 12:00pm - 1:15pm)
Conga Explore! (Saturdays, 3:30pm - 4:45pm)
These group classes afford students an opportunity they can’t get from one-on-one, private lessons or on YouTube. Many of the world’s rhythms are made up of multiple drums, bells, and shakers that each play a significant role in creating the overall rhythm. Rumba is unthinkable without clave, and djembe rhythms are likewise incomplete without the dununs/bass drums that accompany them. Students in group classes will gain an understanding of the construction of the rhythm as well as the role that each instrument plays so stop by Saturday and take advantage of this awesome rhythmic opportunity!
